• Anode Collar
  • Aluminum design—provides secure attachment point to the battery and carries polarized electrical current to the heating coil.
• Cathode Spindle
  • Aluminum design—serves a dual purpose role as both circuit cathode and ambient air portal to vapor stack.
• Spindle Grommet
  • Silicone design—provides electrical insulation between the cathode and the anode.
• Vapor Stack (3rd generation, no longer a one-piece metal tube that conducts heat)
  • Bell Trap
    • Food-grade silicone design that provides a rigid base for the Coil Shield while preventing fluid migration.
  • Coil Shield
    • Braided fiberglass sleeve heat treated to remove trace starches and oils. This process stiffens the sleeve and provides a taste neutral vapor stack. This proprietary design minimizes heat conduction to the outer casing altogether eliminating the possibility of burned lips.
• Heater coil (5 windings)
  • Nothing fancy here, just 5 solid windings of ultra-fine Tungsten strand to provide a perfect balance of cartridge longevity and vapor plume.
• Scavenging Whiskers
  • 3 extra long braided whiskers increase the amount of liquid contacting the heater coil, creating more vapor per puff and minimizing the risk of fouling of the cartridge.
• High density captive wadding (HDCW)
  • This material has a higher liquid retention ratio, which prevents flooding of the heater coil and provides adequate liquid to be scavenged by the whiskers. This eliminates the “crackling” noise that is found in low quality cartridges. Due to its high density, use of this material exclusively would restrict airflow and make puffing difficult, so it is used only as a barrier between the coil shield and LDCW.
• Low density captive wadding (LDCW)
  • This material holds a majority of the liquid captive, preventing coil flood and maintaining optimal saturation of the high density wadding. It’s secondary function is to prevent liquid from seeping over the bell trap when the cartridge is inverted.
